![]() Most of these new enemies require new tactics to defeat, or make you rethink your previously used tricks. Shooting at stationary zombies might get boring after a while, even when using environmental weapons, so why not add new enemy types? The game also introduces new enemies after a while in each chapter, some of them will move, climb the walls or even fly, while others will be twice the size of a normal zombie, yet have a crazy chainsaw, which will block bullets. ![]() Most of these can be shot at and moved or activated in this way. ![]() These can be anything from a simple box or tire, to a valve which turns on steam to kill the zombies. Other than varying levels by using all kinds of weapons, Stupid Zombies 2 also has environmental weapons placed on some of its levels. This line can be used to help you aim your shots and see where they will land once released. There is also an option to use sights on most weapons, which is indicated by a line when holding your finger on the screen. There are also levels where you can use a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, machine gun or throw out a remote controlled turret, among even more varied weapons! Most of the weapons’ shots ricochet off of things the same way as the shotgun’s do, but aiming with them might be a little different. Most levels will require you to use this mechanic to be successful, but not all levels force you to use the basic shotgun. Using with the shotgun will cause each shot to ricochet off of the walls multiple times, making it possible to kill multiple zombie by a well planned ricocheting shot on a concrete wall. This is where the ricochet mechanic comes in. While the first few levels start out simple, with zombies being placed at convenient locations, you will soon realize that the difficulty has risen, with various obstacles placed between you and the zombies, giving you no clear sight of them. On most levels you will be using a shotgun, which has a single shot that you can use as many times as shown by the little counter at the bottom of the screen. You are shown the amount of shots you can take on the level to kill all the zombies, who are placed in strategic positions. When starting a level, your character is placed at a predetermined spot with a weapon ready. Once you have chosen the chapter you want to play, you will probably expect brains hungry, blood thirsty zombies to be coming after you, but most of the enemies in Stupid Zombies 2 definitely prefer standing around with gaping mouths, instead of attacking the player. Later on you will also be able to unlock the Forest, the Snow chapter, the Wild West and even the Circus, although for more stars. Any level can be completed for a maximum of 3 stars, if you did well enough, so gathering 50 stars to unlock the second chapter, the City seems reasonable. At first you will only be able to play the first one, the Lab, but each new chapter can be unlocked once you have enough stars earned on previous ones. Both of them use the same weapons and neither of them have bonuses over the other, so it’s entirely a cosmetic choice.Īfter choosing your character, you will see the chapter selection, with 6 different available chapters to choose from, each having 100 different levels. ![]() There are two character options, one being male and the other female.
